Curriculum

The curriculum is a fundamental component of an academic program, serving as a structured framework that guides students in acquiring both theoretical and practical knowledge. It represents a comprehensive and organized plan developed in alignment with the values and strategic objectives of an educational institution. The purpose of the curriculum is to equip students with professional knowledge, skills and attitudes essential for their field of study. The Faculty of Medical Technology at Spinghar Institute of Higher Education (Nangarhar), which currently offers a degree program through the (General BMLT) Department, follows a curriculum that has been formally approved by the Curriculum Directorate of the Ministry of Higher Education. This curriculum is designed to meet both national and international standards.

The curriculum maintains a careful balance between theoretical and practical instruction. With effective implementation, it ensures that students gain not only theoretical knowledge but also practical experience and essential skills. Moreover, the curriculum prepares students to be responsive to the existing needs in their field of health services.

Here, we present a brief breakdown of the curriculum for BMLT Faculty’s General department, which provides organized information about the nature of subjects, the number of credits and the distribution of theoretical and practical hours, arranged by semesters.
