In today’s meeting of the Leadership Board of the National Scientific-Research Conference, the chancellor of Spinghar Institute of Higher Education, Said Shamsuddin Hemat, presented a report on the completed and ongoing activities related to the upcoming conference. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Lutfullah Khairkhwa, Deputy Minister for Academic Affairs at the Ministry of Higher Education, and attended by a delegation from the ministry.
The report, presented in the institute’s conference hall, was attended by Dr. Hamidullah Mazmal, Director of Research, Compilation and Translation at the Ministry of Higher Education; Associate Professor Ehsanullah Nasih, vice chancellor of Academic Affairs of Nangarhar University; as well as the vice chancellor and dean of the faculties of the institute.
During the opening remarks, Said Shamsuddin Hemat welcomed the delegation and expressed his gratitude. He provided a comprehensive overview of the progress and ongoing preparations for the conference, highlighting that this scientific conference, particularly in the medical field, is the first of its kind.
Dr. Lutfullah Khairkhwa, Deputy Minister for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hamidullah Mazmal, Director of Research, Compilation and Translation, and Associate Professor Ehsanullah Nasih, vice chancellor of Academic Affairs of Nangarhar University, each expressed their appreciation for the initiative. They assured their full cooperation and coordination for the successful execution of the conference. Additionally, they provided constructive suggestions and recommendations, which were acknowledged by President Hemat, who assured careful consideration and necessary actions.
The visiting delegation also toured several sections of the institute, including the main conference hall. Based on their recommendations and consultations, the deadline for research paper submissions will be extended and communicated with researchers to ensure a more structured, standardized and well-managed research process that yields effective outcomes.
It is noteworthy that Spinghar Institute of Higher Education, recognizing the importance of research, plans to organize a national research conference under the theme “An Overview of Afghanistan’s Healthcare System and Services: Challenges, Opportunities and Solutions”. The conference will focus on 16 key topics, allowing researchers from across the country to participate in accordance with the set themes and requirements. The selected research papers will undergo review by a panel of national and international experts, and upon approval, will be presented at the conference and published in Spinghar’s National Medical Research Journal.
