A seminar on the Fundamentals and Importance of Authorship was conducted, dedicated to the academic and administrative members of the three faculties of the institute, as well as the medical staff of Spinghar Momand 50-Bed Hospital (the teaching hospital of Spinghar Institute of Higher Education). The seminar was presented by Professor Dr. Mohammad Tayeb Neshat and Specialist Dr. Shafiqullah Ateesh on Monday (2024 September, 30) before noon in the institute’s conference hall.

Following a warm welcome and an introduction to the objectives, significance and essential preliminary information of the seminar by Professor Dr. Mohammad Tayeb Neshat, a faculty member of the General Medicine Faculty, Department of curative Medicine, the session proceeded with a detailed discussion on the seminar's key topics by Specialist Dr. Shafiqullah Ateesh, the vice chancellor for Research, compilation and Translation at the institute.

Dr. Ateesh shared comprehensive insights with the participants on several crucial aspects of authorship, including definitions of important related terminologies, distinctions among textbooks, authored works, supplementary materials and research publications, standards for writing textbooks and authored works, differences between authorship and translation, essential guidelines for authorship, benefits of authorship, characteristics of an author, and the stages involved in writing an authored work.

At the conclusion of the seminar, participants—particularly officials from the Department of Research, Compilation and Translation and the Department of Foreign Languages and Professional Development—expressed their gratitude and satisfaction. They raised various questions regarding the topics covered, which were jointly addressed with scientific and satisfactory responses by Professor Dr. Mohammad Tayeb Neshat and Specialist Dr. Shafiqullah Ateesh.
