Based on the annual Training & Development (T&D) plan of Spinghar Institute of Higher Education, the Professional Development Center (PDC), in coordination with the Division of Research, Compilation and Translation, conducted a one-day seminar titled "Research and Review Article Writing and Publication" on (2024 September, 16).

The seminar was delivered by Specialist Dr. Shafiqullah Atish, a research and translation specialist, in the institute’s conference hall. It was attended by several administrative staff members and lots of students from the three faculties, who had previously been introduced to the Research Divison for capacity-building in academic research.

During the seminar, Dr. Atish provided a comprehensive overview of key research concepts, the benefits of publishing research articles, different types of research papers, and the structure and characteristics of each type. Additionally, he explained the process of publishing research articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals. To enhance understanding, he presented examples of previously published research and review articles, offering practical insights into article writing and publication.

At the end of the session, participants expressed their appreciation and satisfaction with the seminar, extending their gratitude to Dr. Atish for his insightful presentation. They also emphasized the need for more similar seminars, training programs and workshops, particularly in the field of research.

Notably, the session concluded with a Q&A segment, where participants' inquiries were addressed in a scientific and professional manner. Furthermore, Dr. Atish encouraged active participation in future research initiatives and urged attendees to submit research topics for the upcoming National Research Conference, scheduled for Qaws (November-December) of this year, under the theme: "An Overview of Afghanistan's Healthcare System and Services: Challenges, Opportunities and Solutions." Participants whose submissions are approved will have the opportunity to present their research at the conference and benefit from its associated privileges and recognition.
